                                                    Directors Vision  Storyboard  Character Description

The Vision

I want to make movies that are engaging, informative even educational but always entertaining. Movies that have images, sounds and characters that resonate with mass audiences around the globe.

"Quick, Slip Me a Bride" will promote a sense of place and cultural diversity by being shot in the UK using appropriate rural and urban locations. I intend the film to be faultlessly cinematic and a model of not just classic, but experimental directorial style. Although it is a star vehicle, local talent and crew will be employed as far as possible. It is an unconventional, hilarious romantic comedy yet intricately woven with the humour. The film explores the real issues confronting people searching for love, marriage and ultimately their-selves, Asian or otherwise. We will encapsulate the amazing range of scenery, locations and diversity of cultures that exist in the region and through our film project it on a worldwide stage.

People in every nation love listening or seeing a good story unfold. I want to tell stories that are memorable in any language. Obviously the combination we have at our disposal of imagery and sounds can create a very powerful blend that can captivate and portray reality or momentarily for 90 minutes or so suspend belief and create a fantasy world which gives them hope and perhaps gets them a little closer to experiencing their dreams.

I want to continue making professional quality feature films that have a regional flavour, but worldwide appeal. As with Quick Slip Me a Bride, and High Interest, I have endeavoured to encompass the richness of our multi-ethnic communities through incidents, visuals, sounds, music and characters.

The Production Strategy

The strategy for achieving artistic and commercial success of the film is based quite simply on getting great technical people supporting the creative team.

By very careful expenditures we intend to make the budget look like a lot more. By scrutinizing every expenditure, we will ensure that the entire budget ends up on screen as production value.

By hiring seasoned department heads and challenging them to find creative solutions to low-budget film challenges.

Quick Slip Me A Bride will minimize set construction spend by using existing locations with minimal cosmetic changes. The film has in kind sponsorship commitments from Novotel, Bombay Stores, Mumtaz, and Cobra.  These in kind contributions allow the cash in the budget to go that little bit further.

Quick Slip Me a Bride will shoot for 41 days on location.  Wherever possible locations will be clustered together to minimize company moves. Yorkshire is rich in interesting locations and our production budget will make the most of this diversity.

Quick Slip Me a Bride”  is a very exciting venture which, with a cracking script, wonderfully talented and renowned international cast, combined with a professional crew will undoubtedly result in a film that will generate worldwide interest.

Our next film, currently in development, is "High Interest". This is a black comedy to be shot on location near the coast of Scarborough. "The whole village gets arrested, what a heist!"
